The Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced on the 11th October that it will initiate a new collaborative project with startups to address administrative challenges.
Based on themes set by the government, startups are invited to propose services or products for trial implementation. Among the 10 themes set are services that convey the finished vision of road construction to residents using survey data, and services that efficiently capture subway passenger volume for scheduling.
In late October, opportunities for dialogue between municipal field staff and startups will be provided. Startups can propose solutions based on real-world feedback, which the government will then evaluate and select for field implementation. This initiative aims to benefit both the resolution of administrative issues and the business expansion of startups.
