The Momotaro Startup Cafe, known colloquially as “Momo-Sta,” is a startup support base in Okayama City. A local government initiative to encourage local entrepreneurship, Momo-Sta aims to reduce the flow of people and capital to Tokyo due to a lack of local human resources and funding.

Their incubator program, Momo Quest, has already seen three alumni companies incorporate since it was launched last year. Participants refine their business models with the help of the instructors, and also attend lectures on accounting and business strategy.

Four new businesses are already scheduled to be launched, and Momo-Sta is quickly gaining a reputation as a startup hub.
