Support for entrepreneurship is gaining momentum in Japan's regional cities. On 25 July, Kaga City in Ishikawa Prefecture announced the establishment of the Kaga Future Salon, a private organization to support new business creation. This initiative is attracting attention as a progressive example of how to build an entrepreneurial ecosystem in a regional city.
Kaga Future Salon comprises 12 diverse members, ranging in age from 20s to 60s, and provides the following support:
In addition, plans are underway to establish a 'challenge shop' where entrepreneurs can incubate their business ideas.
