Kaga City establishes Kaga Future Salon

#Community Engagement, #incubation, #Startup Support

Support for entrepreneurship is gaining momentum in Japan's regional cities. On 25 July, Kaga City in Ishikawa Prefecture announced the establishment of the Kaga Future Salon, a private organization to support new business creation. This initiative is attracting attention as a progressive example of how to build an entrepreneurial ecosystem in a regional city.

Kaga Future Salon comprises 12 diverse members, ranging in age from 20s to 60s, and provides the following support:

  • Assistance setting up a business.
  • Advice on fundraising.
  • Business networking.
  • Publicity using social networking sites.

In addition, plans are underway to establish a 'challenge shop' where entrepreneurs can incubate their business ideas.
