SAKE HUNDRED offering 16 million yen brewery tours

#Food, #Market Insight

Clear, the company behind the luxury sake brand SAKE HUNDRED, is launching a 16 million yen per night sake brewery tour. The tour targets wealthy foreigners with a luxury plan to tour sake breweries in Kumamoto Prefecture by private jet, staying at a ryokan in Kurokawa Onsen.

Participants will visit the Kawazu Sake Brewery, which brews Hakuso, and tour the Aso caldera and other sites. The price is 16 million yen for two people per room, or 16.8 million yen for three rooms and six people. Without use of the private jet the price is 990,000 yen. Clear's CEO, Ryuji Ikoma, will accompany the tour and introduce the sake.

Clear is a sake start-up founded in 2013 and launched SAKE HUNDRED in 2018. Its main product, Junmai Daiginjo Byakko, is sold in four-pack bottles for 38,500 yen and is exported to the US, Hong Kong and Singapore. Ikoma stated, "we aim to achieve sales of 10 billion yen in the next five years, with 30% of our sales overseas.”
