On 12th September, Tochigi Prefecture will hold the first ‘Tochigi STAR☆to UP Night’ event in Utsunomiya City, an exchange event for entrepreneurs (and aspiring entrepreneurs) from the prefecture. The event will be held from 3pm to 8pm at Light Cube, a community centre near JR Utsunomiya Station, and participation is free of charge. Advance bookings can be made via the online reservation site Peatix. Drop-in participation is also possible on the day.
At this event, around five or six startups will give short presentations in a pitch format, and feedback will be provided by people such as Yutaka Eta, President of Utsunomiya-based company Fun Technology.
Utsunomiya City has been leading the way in supporting startups in Tochigi Prefecture, and the city has been promoting support projects such as the incubation facilities Utsunomiya Ventures and Utsunomiya Accelerator through public-private partnerships. The aim of Tochigi STAR☆to UP Night is to expand this initiative to the whole prefecture and promote interaction between entrepreneurs.
