The Small and Medium Enterprises Japan (SMEJ) Organization held an information-exchange event on funding for R&D startups at KOIN, a co-creation space in Kyoto City.

Over 30 organizations attended the event, including venture capitalists, local companies interested in investing, and university representatives. Associate Professor at Kyoto University's Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere, Dr. Hiroshi Nishimura, was one of the speakers on new business models and funding methods.

The Small and Medium Enterprises of Japan holds many events to connect R&D startups and investors in the Kansai region.
