Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike announced that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) plans to establish a fund to promote decarbonization in FY2023. Four new funds are planned, with a total investment of 15 billion yen. Of these funds, 2 billion yen has been earmarked for the development of storage batteries and recharging infrastructure.
Governor Koike said, "The concentration of various financial players in Tokyo will create synergies, and hopefully attract new and expanding businesses to the region.”
