Japanese startup Spatial Pleasure has been selected for the globally recognized University of California startup accelerator program, Berkeley SkyDeck.
Spatial Pleasure specializes in developing dMRV (digital, Measurement, Reporting, Verification) software aimed at decarbonizing the transportation sector. By collaborating with bus companies and bike-sharing services, the software quantifies environmental benefits to issue carbon credits, contributing to regional decarbonization. The company envisions transforming urban spaces, which are currently 40% transportation infrastructure, into more meaningful spaces, like turning parking lots into parks and roads into cafes and bars.
This follows their support by the Japanese government’s Global Startup Acceleration Program (GSAP), focusing on tech sectors like IoT, Robotics, and Mobility. Berkeley SkyDeck offers a robust 12-week program that provides startups with extensive resources and a strong network, including advisors, industry partners, and accredited investors.
