Metagen Therapeutics, a company that researches intestinal bacteria for medical and drug development, has completed Series A financing for a total of 1.7 billion yen.

With this financing Metagen Therapeutics will accelerate their construction of a gut microbiota bank and research & development of a gut microbiota drug program. Establishing a gut microbiota bank in Japan will connect patients with gut microbiota donors to promote gut biota transplantation.
