TerraDrone, a startup developing drones for industrial applications, has raised ¥1.85 billion in funding from the CVC of Aramco, the Saudi Arabian oil company with the second largest market capitalization in the world, bringing the total amount raised to 12.66 billion yen.
In line with its business strategy of focusing on the Middle East, the company will establish Terra Drone Arabia, a subsidiary that will develop drone business in Saudi Arabia, the second-largest oil-producing country in the world.
Through this fundraising and the establishment of the subsidiary, the company plans to promote the next generation of industry in the Middle East and accelerate its development in the global market.
