New Innovations, a developer of fully unmanned café robots, raised 5.4 billion yen in their latest funding round. Unmanned cafés are the first step in what New Innovations calls ‘Online-Offline Merging (OMO)  Solutions.’

The company raised approximately 2.63 billion yen through a third-party allocation of new shares with multiple investors in a Series A round, in addition to approximately 2.78 billion yen in loans from several financial institutions.

The funds have been earmarked for internal hardware development and increased marketing.
