US firm Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) and Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co aim to open their joint innovation campus, CIC Fukuoka, in spring 2025. This will be CIC's second location in Asia after CIC Tokyo.
The campus will have 140 private offices, 40 co-working spaces, conference rooms, a kitchen/cafe area, a game room, and other shared facilities. In the fall of 2024, the Venture Café Fukuoka program will also begin, with the aim of fostering a vibrant innovation community in Fukuoka.
