Global Trust Networks, a provider of support services for visitors to Japan, has launched a beta version of its lifestyle support application with a character-based chat system utilizing ChatGPT.
GTN handles more than 80,000 consultations with foreign residents in Japan annually, but increasing demand prompted the company to seek other avenues to keep up without ballooning staffing costs.
The chatbot will respond to consultations that can be handled automatically, while the staff resources will be concentrated on cases that require manned response, leading to faster responses and improved support quality.
