On January 13, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple visited Sony Group's semiconductor plant in Kumamoto Prefecture, as part of his official visit to Japan. Accompanied by Kenichiro Yoshida, Chairman and President of Sony G, Mr. Cook visited the cutting-edge image sensor manufacturing site and a demonstration of the technology used in the camera of the iPhone 14 Pro smartphone.
Through Sony Mr. Cook commented, "I was able to see how our teams work together to promote continuous innovation.” Mr. Yoshida stated that "it was very meaningful to exchange views on the direction of technology development and utilization.”
