alphaspace announced the establishment of ‘150 labs,’ a research and development institute for creating next-generation virtual live experiences using XR and AI technologies.

XR — short for eXtended Reality — blends virtual reality and augmented reality technologies to create truly immersive environments.

In conjunction with IP agency Twin Planet, the lab will investigate new forms of virtual entertainment such as the creation of advanced XR spaces to the production of virtual humans and V-tubers.

Future plans incorporate these developments with the Metaverse and Web 3.0 to bring Japanese IP content to the world.
