Kyoto Fusioneering Ltd., a fusion reactor research and development spin-out from Kyoto University, has raised a total of 10.5 billion yen in a Series C round of financing. Using the funds acquired and the knowledge from investors, Kyoto Fusion will accelerate its research and development of fusion reactor equipment and plants. In addition, they will further strengthen their business expansion in the U.S. and U.K.

This latest round of funding builds on the success in winning the pitch contest at the recent CityTech Tokyo.
