WISJ is excited to share that our first annual flagship event is happening on Sunday, November 12th from 13:00 at Le Wagon Tokyo Campus and online via Zoom. We hope that this event not only sparks deep conversations about diversity in STEM in Japan, but also inspires actions in the broader community that empower women to learn, network, and lead in their respective fields.
Below is just a glimpse of the many activities happening during the half-day event:
🚀 Our stellar keynote speaker, Janelle Wellons, will share her journey from MIT, to NASA, and to her current role as a Spaceflight Operations Engineer at ispace.
💗After the keynote speech, we will have a fantastic panel discussion on the topic of “Rediscovering the Passion For Your Field,” featuring women from academia, corporate, and freelance STEM careers.
👩🔬Our student leadership team is facilitating a “speed mentorship” session, where mentees of all ages and backgrounds will be paired with mentors who can offer advice about school, job-hunting, networking, and more.
Students, STEM professionals of all backgrounds, and supporters of WISJ's mission are encouraged to join.
