The first pitch contest organized by the Miyagi Prefecture DX Startup Creation Event Executive Committee was held in Sendai City on September 9. Ailat, a Tohoku University based company that provides cancer radiotherapy planning, won the grand prize of 1 million yen.
The executive committee consists of Miyagi Prefecture officials, the Federation of Prefectural Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and other organizations. The theme of this year's event was new digital transformation (DX)-related business models, with nine speakers taking the stage.
In addition to the prize money, Miyagi Prefecture will provide up to 9 million yen in business support to the winner if they develops the business within the prefecture.\
